The Story of Cinderella, by Nadir Quinto depicts Cinderella's fairy godmother conjuring an ornate gold coach and its team of white horses in a shower of magic sparks beneath a starlit sky, as Cinderella and a companion look on from the garden steps. Quinto, an Italian illustrator and cartoonist trained at Milan's Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, painted this scene as part of a colorful, romantic series illustrating the Cinderella fairy tale for the British children's magazine Playhour.
