MADE IN FLORIDA
This is a custom-made wall.
Nothing is printed before it’s purchased, and nothing waits in a warehouse. Your piece begins its journey on the roll the day the order arrives and departs the atelier seven to ten days later, with the hardware fitted and ready to hang.
The part nobody photographs.
From the roll to the box.
The Atelier Floor

The cotton
Gallery-grade cotton, on the roll. Heavyweight, matte, and hand cut to the size of the piece it is about to become.

The ink
Pigment ink at 300 DPI. Matte, never gloss — no glass, no glare, and nothing between you and the painting.

The corner
The corner fold — the one place a canvas shows whether it was made carefully. Folded and set by hand, square to the bar.

The frame
The floater frame, and its shadow gap. A slim profile set just off the canvas, so the painting sits inside the frame rather than under it.

The hardware
Hanging hardware, fitted before it ships. Nothing to buy and nothing to work out — open the box and pick your wall.

The box
Boxed in Florida. Corner-protected, made to order, and on its way in seven to ten days.
Materials and their proper care.
Gallery-grade cotton canvas with a matte surface, stretched by hand over a solid wood bar. Nothing is mounted to board, and nothing sits behind glass.
We print with pigment ink rather than the dye-based ink used in most consumer printing, and pigment holds its colour far longer. As with any artwork, keep it out of hours of direct sun and it will stay as it arrived.
A dry, soft cloth, lightly. No water, no cleaning spray, and not the cloth you use on glass — a matte canvas surface will mark.
The canvas sits inside the frame with a narrow gap around it, instead of being covered at the edge the way a traditional frame covers a print. You see the whole painting, edge to edge, and the shadow in the gap gives it depth. Five finishes.
Printed, stretched, framed and boxed in Florida. Every piece is made to order and ships in seven to ten days, free within the contiguous United States.

THE SURFACE
No glass. No glare. No gloss
A matte pigment print on cotton is the closest thing to standing in front of the original. The surface absorbs light instead of throwing it back, so the painting reads the same from the doorway as it does from the sofa, in daylight or under a lamp.
It is also why we do not make acrylic, metal, or anything behind glass. They photograph well and they hang badly.
THE FRAME
One profile, five finishes.

Black
Black hardwood disappears against the canvas and lets the painting do everything.

White
White hardwood for pale walls and light rooms, where a dark frame would sit too heavily.

Gold
Gold leaf finish the closest thing we make to how these paintings hang in the museum.

Natural
Unstained hardwood with the grain showing. Warm, quiet, most forgiving with wood furniture.

Oak
Oak with an open grain the one to choose for coastal and landscape work.
