Sun Burn, by Jack Sorenson, depicts a lone rider in a long coat seated on horseback, silhouetted against a blazing desert sunset with distant mountains on the horizon. Sorenson is a contemporary American Western artist, born in 1954 and raised at Six Gun City on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon, who has painted cowboy and frontier life full-time since 1974 and was inducted into the Cowboy Artists of America in 2021.
