RMS Aquitania Leaving New York, c. 1914, by Odin Rosenvinge depicts the Cunard Line's flagship departing New York harbor, her four signature red-and-black funnels trailing smoke as tugboats guide her through the crowded waterway. Odin Rosenvinge, a British marine artist of Danish descent born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1880, was one of the most celebrated poster and postcard artists of the early twentieth century, renowned for his dramatic Cunard Line commissions.
