Middleton Hall, Carmarthenshire, c. 1807, by George Richardson depicts the East Front of Middleton Hall, the Carmarthenshire seat of Sir William Paxton, designed by architect Samuel Pepys Cockerell in the Greek Revival style. Richardson, an English architectural draughtsman and engraver trained in the office of Robert Adam, was known for his precise elevation plates of Britain's most celebrated Georgian buildings, published in works such as The New Vitruvius Britannicus.
