Boy Working at a Produce Stand in Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1909, by Lewis Hine shows a young boy perched among crates of cauliflower and produce outside a Boston market stall, bagging goods for a customer as passersby in bowler hats look on. The photograph was made by Lewis Hine, an American sociologist and photographer whose documentary work for the National Child Labor Committee helped expose child labor conditions across the United States in the early twentieth century.
