Water Lilies in Bloom (Nymphéas en Fleur), painted by Claude Monet between 1914 and 1917 spreads a raft of violet lily pads and pink-white blossoms across the still surface of his water garden at Giverny, where reflections of sky and foliage dissolve into the pond. Monet painted the canvas late in his career as part of the immersive water landscape series that occupied his final decades. It later entered the collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller and stands among the most celebrated of all his water lily paintings.
