The Parker Shows, Under the Dome, Topeka Kansas, 1904 by Riverside Print Co. The poster advertises C.W. Parker's traveling amusement show performing "Under the Dome" on the Kansas State House grounds in Topeka during the Kansas Semi-Centennial celebration, May 30-June 4, 1904, depicting the midway's Roman Hippodrome, Electric Theatre Palace, and other attractions beneath the state capitol dome. C.W. Parker, an Abilene, Kansas-based amusement-ride manufacturer, brought his carnival to the capitol grounds under special grant of the governor and state, billed on the poster as "the highest honor ever conferred on an amusement enterprise."
