The Night Café in Arles, 1888 – Vincent van Gogh Wall Art | Post-Impressionist Interior Canvas Print

Painted in September 1888 in Arles, Vincent van Gogh's The Night Café in Arles is one of the most psychologically charged and visually radical interiors in the history of Western painting. The violent chromatic contrasts — clashing reds and greens, acid yellows — are deployed deliberately to evoke what van Gogh himself described as the terrible passions of humanity. The distorted perspective, the billiard table looming at the centre, and the few solitary figures slumped at tables create an atmosphere of sleepless, oppressive tension. Held in the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven. A defining masterwork of Post-Impressionism.
