RMS Franconia Ocean Liner, 1923 shows the Cunard liner arriving in port beneath a warm, hazy sky, flanked by tugboats and dressed overall in signal flags, her single red-and-black funnel and dark hull rendered in the polished style of a period travel illustration. Built by John Brown & Co. and completed in 1923, the Franconia served the Liverpool-New York route and world cruises for over three decades, later serving as a WWII troopship and as Winston Churchill's headquarters ship at the 1945 Yalta Conference.
