Quinces, Lemons, Pears and Grapes, painted by Vincent van Gogh in 1887, gathers a pile of yellow quinces, lemons, and pears alongside a cluster of grapes, rendered almost entirely in warm shades of yellow with touches of green, blue, and pink. Painted in Paris, it demonstrates the bold colorist Van Gogh had become after encountering the work of Impressionist painters. He dedicated the still life to his brother Theo, and it survives today in its only known original artist-painted frame.
