Kilcolman Castle Ruins, County Cork, Ireland, c. 1840 by William Henry Bartlett depicts the ruined tower house of Kilcolman Castle rising above a quiet river in the Munster countryside of County Cork, Ireland, once the residence of the poet Edmund Spenser. Bartlett was an English topographical illustrator (1809–1854) celebrated for his steel-engraved views of the British Isles, continental Europe, and the Holy Land, published in travel annuals such as The Scenery and Antiquities of Ireland.
