Golden Wyandotte Rooster and Hen

Golden Wyandotte Rooster and Hen shows a rooster and hen of the Golden Wyandotte breed in black-and-white linework, their laced plumage built up through fine cross-hatching against a cream ground with a softly shaded barnyard corner behind. The printed caption reads “Coq & Poule Wyandottes Dorés, d’après The Feathered World,” and the running head names the French-language periodical Chasse et Pêche, marking the plate as a copy after an illustration from the London poultry weekly The Feathered World.
