Dance in the Country, by Pierre-Auguste Renoir shows a couple absorbed in a turn of the dance, she in a bright red-orange bonnet with a yellow-gloved hand resting on her partner's shoulder, framed by dark green foliage. The French Impressionist's friend Paul Lhôte and Aline Charigot, later his wife, modeled for the figures in this painting, which is held in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
