Cowboy and Woman on Horseback by a Mountain Lake

Cowboy and Woman on Horseback by a Mountain Lake shows a cowboy in a yellow plaid western shirt and a woman in a blue checked shirt pausing on horseback beside a mountain lake, she touching up her lipstick in a small gold compact mirror while he looks on with an easy smile. Painted in warm, sunlit tones with pine-covered mountains behind them and a parked car at the edge of the scene, it evokes the romanticized ranch-vacation ideal of mid-century American Western imagery.
