Chicken for Dinner by Lucia Heffernan

Chicken for Dinner, by Lucia Heffernan gathers five wide-eyed chickens crowded together against a soft teal background, their exaggerated, very human expressions giving the barnyard portrait a gently comic charge. Heffernan is a contemporary oil painter known for whimsical animal portraits that place farm and wild animals in all-too-human scenarios.
