Città di Venezia, c. 1729 by Lodovico Ughi presents Venice at the height of its maritime power, its canals, campi, and dense island architecture surveyed and rendered with remarkable precision. Ughi's landmark map was engraved by Francesco Zucchi after drawings by Luca Carlevarijs and published by Giuseppe Baroni, standing among the most accurate large-scale plans of the city produced in the eighteenth century.
