Abbaye Royale de Panthemont: Élévation de la Façade du Côté du Jardin, c. 1762 by François Franque The plate presents the garden-side façade elevation for the Royal Abbey of Panthemont on the Rue de Grenelle in Paris's Faubourg Saint-Germain, rendered with the precise linework and classical proportion of 18th-century French architectural drafting. Designed by François Franque (1710-1794), Architecte du Roy, and engraved by Le Canu, the plate is one of a set of six (Pl. XVI-XXI) documenting the proposed rebuilding of the abbey.
