Cliffs at Pourville, 1896 – Claude Monet Wall Art | Late Impressionist Norman Coast Canvas Print
Choose options
Painted in 1896, Claude Monet's Cliffs at Pourville depicts the chalk clifftops above the small Channel resort of Pourville, near Dieppe, where the painter had first worked at length in the early 1880s and to which he returned for a sustained mid-1890s campaign. Executed in the loose, atmospheric manner of his late series, the canvas renders cliff, sky, and sea as overlapping passages of broken colour. A luminous and historically significant work for any interior drawn to Monet's late coastal painting.
