Cliff Walk at Pourville (Promenade sur la falaise), painted by Claude Monet in 1882 depicts two parasol-shaded figures standing on the grassy clifftop above the small Channel resort of Pourville, near Dieppe, with sailboats scattered across the sea below. Now in the Art Institute of Chicago, it is among the most celebrated of the nearly one hundred canvases Monet painted along the Normandy coast that year.
