Viñedos rojos en Arlés (La Vigne rouge), c. 1888, de Vincent van Gogh representa a los trabajadores de la viña recogiendo uvas bajo un resplandeciente atardecer otoñal, con las vides representadas en extraordinarios tonos rojos, naranjas y púrpuras que parecen encender todo el paisaje. Van Gogh pintó la escena después de dar un paseo cerca de Montmajour con Paul Gauguin, transformando una cosecha ordinaria en una visión de color y calor casi alucinatorios. Ocupa un lugar único en su historia como la única pintura de la que se tiene constancia de que la vendió en vida, adquirida por la pintora belga Anna Boch en 1890.
